Made exclusively for women, Nike Dunk Mid Women is dressed as vibrantly as its namesake implies. Playful arrangements of “Purple Pulse,” “Sunset Pulse,” and “Lagoon Pulse” come together, laid over top a base of neutral white leathers. And while the laces and tongue are similarly bereft of color, everything else is lensed through at least one of the aforementioned colors.

For the last several months, Nike Sportswear has been teasing the “First Use” collection, an expansive lineup of footwear commemorating the debut of the swoosh logo. One of the silhouettes that has emerged in multiple styles under this capsule’s banner has been the Nike Dunk Mid Men, which has most recently surfaced in a summer-ready “University Gold” makeup.

Akin to previously-seen entries to the series, the forthcoming pair indulges in a mix of smooth leather and soft suede across its two-tone upper. Nike Dunk Mid Cheap superimposed onto the vibrant yellow base boasts a dull shade of “University Gold,” allowing the underlays to steal the spotlight. Profile swooshes deviate entirely from their surroundings in a “White” composition that appears filled in on the medial side; lateral counterparts take on the outline of the logo’s earlier version and sit right above a “June 18, 1971” date, which nods to the swoosh’s “First Use.” Underfoot, the
high-top Nike Dunk Mid Sale features a “colorless” midsole and light gum brown outsole.
